Joining Ideal Heating Commercial was an easy decision for Simone Hill, who has become our newest Business Development Manager for London. “I wanted to work for Ideal Heating because they are the number one boiler manufacture in the UK. Ideal has always had a great reputation in the industry. Back when I worked in merchant sales, Ideal was one of the easiest and most professional manufacturers to deal with – that stuck with me.”
With over a decade in the construction and heating industry, Simone brings a wealth of experience and insight to the role. Her career began in the hire sector in 2012 before she moved into merchant sales, eventually becoming a Commercial Key Accounts Manager for Wolseley UK. She then joined a boiler manufacturer as an Area Sales Manager, where she deepened her technical knowledge in plant room design, boiler schematics, and heating solutions. “That’s really where I learned how to survey plant rooms and interpret schematics – skills that are essential in my role today.”
As a Business Development Manager for London, Simone works closely with contractors and merchant branches across the capital. “My typical day is usually boiler room site visits, followed by a quick visit to a merchant. That can look different in each branch, from seeing the branch staff that I regularly speak with and quote on projects for, through to meetings with the key account managers and area sales managers. I also have regular meetings with local contractors to discuss current and up and coming projects.”
Simone enjoys the variety and teamwork at Ideal Heating Commercial. “What I love is how collaborative the team is. Whether I need technical support on boilers, heat interface units or air source heat pumps, there’s always someone ready to help – and that makes a big difference.”
Already making an impact, Simone has been working with a London Council, delivering presentations and setting pricing agreements for future developments. “They’re currently revealing their commercial projects pipeline for 2026–2027. It’s exciting to see momentum building in the London construction market again, especially with the rise of new office projects in central London.”
Simone’s focus is on building strong relationships and delivering expert support to her customers, reinforcing Ideal Heating Commercial’s position as the go-to manufacturer for reliable, efficient and forward-thinking heating solutions.
