Being “part of the number 1 commercial boiler company within the UK” was the initial attraction for Robbie Burt’s and was key to his decision to join Ideal Heating Commercial last year, but since then he has come to realise that “that we offer much more than just boilers”.
Robbie is the latest Business Development Manager to join our Ideal Heating Commercial team, working with contractors and distributors to promote our comprehensive range of heating products and solutions. “My primary focus is building and enhancing relationships with consultants to future-proof Ideal as the product of choice for all projects. Ideal Heating Commercial is the market leader in condensing boilers, but we also offer HIUs and air source heat pumps, plus an extensive range of accessories and ancillary parts.” says Robbie. Cost effective, high performance, low carbon heating solutions are at the heart of Ideal Heating Commercial product development, which is reflected across the Groupe Atlantic companies, and has certainly caught Robbie’s attention: “Groupe Atlantic’s forward thinking vision to drive the company to net zero is of particular interest.”
Very much a people person, Robbie likes nothing better than “meeting customers, problem solving to earn trust and the integrity from clients and the buzz of negotiations to win orders.”
Robbie is responsible for the North East of London, Essex and East Anglia, covering postcodes with the prefix: CB, CM, CO, E, IG, IP, NR, RM, SG, SS.
Robbie has brought two decade’s worth of experience in the HVAC/Plumbing sector, having started at Wolseley in 2004 where he became a branch manager in both Plumb and Pipe Centre, followed by seven years at Wilo Pumps as an Area Sales Manager. Prior to this, Robbie served in the armed forces, with multiple tours including The Gulf, Falklands, Cyprus and Bosnia. “Serving my country and gaining promotions in the Army has been a personal highlight for me. I will always be immensely proud of my service.”
Robbie is applying his breadth of experience, and his enthusiasm, to his new role as Business Development Manager at Ideal Heating Commercial. Whilst still new to the company, his priority at present is enhancing his product knowledge, but “luckily the team are amazing and I can lean on them for information when needed.” He is already working on several large projects, including one with one of the UK's leading building services engineering companies, and a heat pump project with a major consulting firm.
