Ideal Heating Commercial has a enjoyed a long, mutually rewarding relationship with the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) and we are delighted to see this expand into on-demand CPDs available through BESA members’ academy website, BESA Academy.
We have filmed two CIBSE accredited CPDs for BESA to date and a third is in the pipeline. Our Low Carbon Systems CPD launched in 2024 was the first and garnered an incredible 263 registrations within the first fortnight of release. This was one of the top three highest performers on the BESA Academy website within the timeframe, and the top heating systems CPD! The CPD, which is presented by our Commercial Product Manager, Jason Allen, introduces low carbon appliances and applications using heat pump technology.
Most recently we are pleased to have released a CPD on Heat Networks & Heat Interface Units, recorded by Charlie Mowbray, Ideal Heating Commercial Senior Product Manager. Charlie provides an overview of heat networks and the role that Heat Interface Units (HIUs) play in ensuring the thermal comfort of the end user and the efficient operation of the network.
Concise, convenient and easy to follow, both CPDs last 60 minutes with knowledge check questions asked at the end of the course. Once completed, users can download a CPD certificate.
These CPDs, filmed exclusively for BESA, are just one small part of our overall training provision for customers. We offer a wide range of CPD seminars delivered by our specification team which are designed to provide customers with the knowledge they need to successfully specify and design commercial heating systems. In addition to these, our commercial courses provide training across our complete range of products, delivered by dedicated, directly employed Expert Academy training managers.
Training is available at our BESA, BPEC and City & Guilds assessment Centres of Excellence at Bridgehead in Hessle, Leeds, Luton and Dalgety Bay in Scotland. All these premises have been completely refurbished to convert them into state-of-the-art training facilities, with Ideal Heating commercial product displays installed so attendees can get interactive, hands-on training.
In acknowledgment of the quality of our training provision, we won the inaugural BESA award for Training Provider of the Year in 2024. 2025 will see us to continue to support BESA members with a recording of our new ‘Surveying the modern plant room – from boiler to heat pumps’ CPD.
