Ideal Commercial Heating CPD & Product Training Roadshow

We are pleased to have held another successful CPD & Product Training Roadshow event reinforcing our commitment to supporting customers with the latest low carbon heating knowledge and hands-on training.

Held at our Expert Academy training facility in Leeds on 12th May 2026, with our sister company ACV UK, the latest roadshow brought together building services consultants, consulting engineers, M&E building services engineers and representatives from county councils for a day focused on decarbonisation, practical product insight and collaborative discussion.

Throughout the day, attendees were able to build their knowledge through two dedicated CPD presentations delivered by our specification team. Chris Armitage presented “Low carbon systems: appliances and applications using heat pump technology”, while Julie Wade delivered ACV UK’s CPD seminar on “Decarbonisation using electric boiler technology in non-domestic properties”.

Alongside the CPDs, attendees also benefited from practical, hands-on product training delivered by Expert Academy Training Manager Rob Hargreaves and ACV UK Technical Support Engineer Phil Page. Training covered a broad range of commercial heating and hot water technologies including our Evomax 2 and Imax Xtra 2 boilers, our ECOMOD commercial heat pumps, ACV electric products and hybrid systems, allowing visitors to engage directly with the equipment and ask questions specific to their own projects and applications.

Our Leeds Expert Academy training facilities provided the ideal environment for the event, with attendees provided with hands on training alongside our commercial product displays and experience the practical side of specification and installation.  We will be looking to do further roadshows of this nature in our other training centres in Hull, Dalgety Bay and Luton, all of which have state-of-the-art facilities with interactive commercial product displays designed to support practical, hands-on learning.

Feedback from attendees and presenters demonstrated the value of combining technical CPDs with practical demonstrations and open discussion.

Chris Armitage commented: “The event was really well received by my customers, and I’m arranging further visits to the Expert Academy training facilities for their junior engineers to get hands-on product experience with the boilers and heat pumps.”

Julie Wade added: “By offering both CIBSE approved CPDs and assisted by product demonstrations from our training professionals at our Expert Academy in Leeds, customers were able to share their own experiences with us and with other attendees.”

At Ideal Commercial Heating, we believe accessible training and knowledge sharing are essential to supporting the industry’s transition towards lower carbon commercial heating systems. Through our growing programme of CPDs, product training and hands-on events, we remain committed to helping consultants, specifiers and installers build the confidence and expertise needed for modern commercial heating projects.
